A veteran's journey · cinematic gift

The most meaningful gift for a British veteran

Every Remembrance Sunday, you wear the poppy. You stand at the cenotaph. You mean it. But there’s never been a way to give a veteran something truly personal — something that plots their actual service, posting by posting, across the globe. Until now. Veteran Waypoints turns a service record into a cinematic, shareable video — a keepsake that captures every posting, every unit transfer, every operational tour. It’s the military gift that says "I know where you’ve been, and it mattered."

Whether it’s a parent who served in Northern Ireland, a partner who deployed to Afghanistan, or a grandparent whose cap badge you still keep — this is for them. It’s the remembrance gift that goes beyond the regimental association dinner and the veteran’s parade. It’s personal.

Why a Veteran Waypoints journey is different

Cinematic

Not a slideshow. Not a photo montage. A 30–90 second cinematic animation that plots every posting across a 3D globe with smooth camera transitions and unit overlays.

Personalized

Every video is unique. The postings, units, dates, and countries are from a real service record. The veteran's name appears on the end card alongside every unit they served with. No two journeys are alike.

Never fades

The video is yours to keep, share, and replay forever. Download all three formats (vertical, square, landscape) and share via WhatsApp, social media, or play on a big screen at a dinner, funeral, or reunion.

Built and run by a veteran

Veteran Waypoints is built and operated by a 22-year British Army veteran - not a Silicon Valley startup. Every design decision is informed by real military service. We understand the difference between a posting and a deployment, between a unit and a corps. That matters.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy this as a surprise?+
Absolutely. Most customers create the journey themselves using their veteran’s service history — dates, postings, and units. It’s designed to be given as a gift. The veteran receives the video; they don’t need to be involved in the creation.
How long does it take?+
You can enter a service record in about five minutes. The cinematic video renders within a few minutes of purchase. You’ll receive an email with a shareable link and download buttons for all three formats (vertical, square, landscape).
What if I don’t remember every posting?+
You don’t need to. Two postings is the minimum. Many customers start with what they know — basic training, first unit, a memorable deployment — and the globe animation still looks stunning. You can always create an updated version later.
Is my data secure?+
All journey records are encrypted at rest using AES-256. We don’t store unencrypted personal data. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@veteranwaypoints.com. Full details in our privacy policy.
Can it be played at a funeral or memorial?+
Yes, and this is one of the most common use-cases. The landscape (16:9) format is designed for large screens. Several families have played the video at veteran funerals, regimental dinners, and RBL events.
Do you offer gift cards?+
Yes. You can purchase a prepaid gift card directly on this page. You will receive a unique redemption code (valid for 36 months) that the veteran can use to build their own service journey at their own pace.
Where is Veteran Waypoints based?+
The founder is a 22-year British Army veteran, former Royal Military Police (Special Investigation Branch). Veteran Waypoints is a trading name of Interview Management Solutions, an Australian registered company. Veteran-owned, veteran-operated.
What formats do I receive?+
Three video files: vertical 9:16 (Reels, TikTok, Stories), square 1:1 (Instagram feed), and landscape 16:9 (YouTube, Facebook, big-screen playback). All included in the one-time price.
